Interactive Exercise Equipment Printer Friendly Version
With all of the Hi-Tech gaming systems out there, and so many exercise gadgets, it's a wonder to me that nobody has combined them. I would like to see a peice of exercise equipment that would challenge me mentally and physically, as well as alow me to compete with other users, even if they are in another part of the world.
I believe that this would motivate a lot of people who would otherwise never exercise to get busy.
I believe that the sheer boredom of repetitons on a weight bench, or running on a treadmill are enough detour many people from exercising.

If you had a stationary bike, rowing machine or treadmill with a large T.V. screen in front of you, and a system that allowed you to choose a "Canyon Run", "Running From the Mafia","Mountain Bike Trail" or even "Rowing With the Whales" or compete with others on the same network. The graphics could be every bit as good as PS2, the X-Box or any other gaming system.
This could be used as either home exercise equitment, or we could even create an entire "Virtual Gym".
I believe that this could absolutely revolutionize the exercise equiptment industry, and promote healthier life styles.

Sportsline Printer Friendly Version
Hi. I own an avocado plantation in Alaska. When I need some extra help, for instance for the harvest or repainting a barn, there's a street you can go to hire, um, semi-legal Guatemalan workers. Obviously, this is very convenient when you're caught short-handed.

Anyway the other day, my friends and I wanted to get together to play some serious football (hey, fock ball sounds cool!), but only five showed up so we had to go home again. So I got to thinking: wouldn't it be great if there were a designated place to go where we could find people willing to play football with us? Then we'd never have to call off a game again! Plus, it would give people the chance of joining a game at any time.
Reward: No more called off games, unless it snows again.

Expanding goals Printer Friendly Version
Ever watch a soccer game where by the 28th minute you just knew there wouldn't be any goals scored that day? You could see it in some games in the world cup - in some games, both teams were so scared of being scored upon that they only attacked with one man, who had to deal with ten defenders. Boring!
My idea is to introduce goals that slowly become larger, maybe a foot in width and heigth per five minutes, in the second half of scoreless games. Late in the game, those huge goals will look so tempting and be so easy to score on that the fans will see lots and lots of goals. Wouldn't that be great?
Reward: $9 (ok, free match tickets would do as well, as long as they go with free peanuts).
